Hampshire County Chess Season 1929 / 30

Hampshire had been playing in the SCCU since 1894, but the Montague Jones Cup was introduced in 1925. This article looks at Hampshire’s second win of this Cup in 1929/30 and their five County Chess matches in the season.

Hampshire 1969/70 SCCU County Champions

The main Trophy in the SCCU County Competitions is the Shannon Trophy, otherwise known as the Championship.
