In the Hampshire Chess Archives there were two booklets from the 1980’s which I have scanned and made available. In 1983 Southampton Chess Club celebrated their centenary and in 1986 the British Chess Championship was held in Southampton.
The 1982 Hampshire Individual Chess Championship was held at Southampton University over two weekends (28th November – 5th December and 29th November – 6th December 1981).
